David Lawrence Brown has developed a reputation as a "chameleon" performer, proving adept at delivering a wide range of cinematic performances, evidenced by his chilling portrayal of real-life psychopathic serial killer Gary Ridgway in "The Riverman" to his comedic turn as the inept mayor Al Lipinski in "Freezer Burn". His attention to detail in performance has allowed him to bring a nuanced believibility to characters from various backgrounds including Scottish (Passchendaele), Minnesotan (Fargo) and the mid-west USA (The 19th Wife). Dave has shared the screen with many notable performers including Robert Downey Jr., Kristen Stewart, and Ian MacKellan among many others. His portrayal of Sheriff Larry Logan in "The Pinkertons" was recognized for Best Performance by a Male Actor with an ACTRA award in 2016. Dave is also a singer-songwriter and musician, and recently completed his MFA in film-making; writing and directing the web series "Killing Gerry".
